    Aleksandra Dragin Ph.D.

    She was born on December 18, 1976, in Novi Sad.

    Education:
    She completed all levels of her studies at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad (UNSPMF), Department of Geography, Tourism, and Hotel Management. She obtained a Bachelor's degree with the title of Graduate Geographer - Tourismologist, and then specialized in tourism, business, and management, earning her Master's degree in 2005 and Ph.D. in 2008. During her doctoral studies, she was a scholarship recipient of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. Her doctoral dissertation titled “International Cruises along Corridor 7 and Nautical Tourism in Serbia” was funded by the same Ministry for publication in monograph form.

    She was appointed as a teaching assistant at the UNSPMF in 2006, then as an assistant professor in 2008, associate professor in 2013, and full professor in 2018.

    With over 20 years of teaching experience, in addition to her home institution (UNSPMF), she lectures at the Academy of Hospitality, Tourism, and Wellness in Belgrade, and at the College of Professional Business Studies in Novi Sad. She is a co-holder of courses at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija (University of Rijeka, Croatia), and since the 2023/24 academic year, she has been a visiting professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, University of Jaén (Spain).

    She teaches the following subjects: Research Methods in Tourism, Culture and Communication in Tourism, Intercultural Communication, Tourism Marketing I & II, Selective Forms of Tourism, Quality Management, Human Resource Management, Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility in Tourism, and The Impact of Demographic Trends on Tourism Development. In the past three academic years, her average student evaluation score at UNSPMF was 9.66 (out of 10), based on feedback from 386 students across undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels.

    She has served on committees for the preparation and defense of 289 undergraduate and master's theses and 14 doctoral dissertations, mentoring 51 undergraduate, 43 master's theses, and 4 doctoral dissertations.

    She is the author/co-author of over 200 scientific bibliographic units: 215 papers (more than 40 indexed in SCOPUS and WoS in M21a-M23 categories), 6 monographs, 2 studies, 2 expert reports, 3 textbooks, and 2 manuals. She has contributed chapters to books published by Springer Charm, McGraw Hill Publishing, and Emerald.

    She has participated in numerous research actions, symposiums, scientific conferences, seminars, and round tables both domestically and internationally (Japan, Thailand, the UK, Portugal, Belgium, Norway, etc.).

    She completed training programs at Université Paris-Est Créteil Val de Marne (UPEC), Faculty of Economics and Management, through the ERASMUS+ program (2019 and 2021). As part of the ERASMUS+ teaching staff mobility program, she lectured in Spain – at the University of Alcalá (Faculty of Economics, Business, and Tourism) and the University of Guadalajara (Multidepartmental Building) (2019 and 2021), as well as in the Czech Republic – at Palacký University Olomouc (Department of Geography, Faculty of Science) (2021).

    She participated in the development of the Regional Spatial Plan of AP Vojvodina (expert group) and served as a reviewer for the Master Plan of Fruška Gora for the Executive Council of AP Vojvodina.

    She was a member of the Council for Social Sciences of the Senate of the University of Novi Sad (2019–2023) and the Council for Natural and Mathematical Sciences of the same Senate (2021–2023).

    She has been a reviewer in the accreditation process of higher education institutions in Serbia (since 2019), Montenegro (since 2022), and the Republic of Srpska (since 2022).

    She is a member of 3 international COST EU networks:

    She has participated in 41 projects to date—as a leader, member, expert, coordinator, or reviewer (12 international, 9 national, 16 provincial, and 4 local).
